James "Westfield Jimmy" Salamone Informant PG T-13???

Post by JCB1977 »

Hey B, Antillar and Chris Christie.

PG T-13 very well could be James Salamone, aka Westfield Jimmy and very close, personal friends with John LaRocca. It states that T-13 continues to furnish reliable info on Buffalo (Salamone was a member of Buffalo) and the Northwestern Pennsylvania area (Erie, PA) where Salamone also operated after Serafino "Sam" Romeo passed away. Salamone worked very closely with the LaRocca Family and would easily have had quite a bit of detail to give to the Feds.

Just took a quick look at that FBI file damm Pittsburg had alot of members in a tiny family snitching. But it could be made up by the case agent like they did in boston.

Or mistakenly classified as members when they were associates...

It's not Salamone, it's the Magaddino Chapel office bug.

Elsewhere in the document it's identified as BU 280-C*. Asterisks always indicate a bug opposed to a live member source and in this case the code is the same one used for the Magaddino Chapel recordings. Bugs are described in reports as if they were informants in an effort to hide the fact that they had active bugs installed. Just part of the FBI's smoke and mirrors.

I def understand why you thought it was Salamone, though -- Salamone was a regular visitor to the Magaddino Chapel and was recorded discussing activities in Erie with Magaddino in addition to the wealth of info on Buffalo that was recorded. So Salamone did unintentionally give information on the tapes, but so did the entire Buffalo leadership.

I don't know enough to comment but good looking out though. It's an interesting area with still many unanswered questions. I still don't know what Detroit was doing in YT but could have involved an agreement between Yonnie Licavoli and Frank Milano in the 1930's. I don't know if Detroit was in YT or not before then. 1920's?

Hope all is well with you. Salut.
