Maybe Crea keeps UB position until his appeals are over.It was reported that Vic loves Crea, so he keeps the position until the time Vic thinks he needs to be replaced. From what I remember the deal was that Crea could stay official underboss up until he got convicted. If that happened Patty Red would go from acting to official. It would have been a shame if they had to kill him, very few guys on the street as respected as Steve is.
