Joseph Lucchese? He's listed as a soldier on the chart. Any info on him?

Tommy Lucchese's younger brother. He was a Capo in the 1960s and 70s. His crew was eventually taken over by Steve Crea.

There is a James Lucchese who has shown up on at least one FBI list in addition to Joseph Lucchese but no idea which source ID'd him as a member. The 1980s NYPD photo chart has a second guy with the surname Lucchese who isn't Joseph Lucchese (he's already listed and this guy has a different photo) -- could be James Lucchese as well. Never been able to find out who he is or what his relation may have been, or if he was even a member.

On the subject of the Lucchese family being secretive, Lucchese CI Carmine Taglialatella said after he was inducted he learned that the Lucchese family was secretive about its membership and avoided introducing new members to other families. Louis LaRasso was recorded saying the same thing about the DeCavalcante family. Looking at how little was and is known about the Luccheses, seems like there could be truth to it. Al D'Arco had never heard of Paolo D'Anna until he became a captain -- sure D'Anna was ancient, but with how close-knit the Vario crew was you'd think at some point someone would have mentioned an old timer in their crew who had been a member in Pueblo and Sicily, but maybe there was no reason to mention him until D'Arco became responsible for him as the new captain.

Makes you wonder what other low-key Lucchese old timers may have been around in the years before we had high-level CWs. They were a small family (by NYC standards), so there likely weren't a ton of members off the radar but we don't have nearly the amount of info on them that we have for the Colombos during the same periods.
