And if he knew any of the old guard as well. I don't know his back story like everyone else does, but I do know he was close to the Patriarca's in terms of territory so surely he's ran into them before.
If I didn't have my case coming up, I would like to come back with you gentlemen when this is over with and really lay the law down what is going on in this country.....

givememysocks, can you please Ask Anthony A. About his inter actions with John Bologna , Was Bologna introduced as Made or a associate of Artie Nigro, Seems all the paper work points to Bologna pulling the strings to get rid of Burno and putting this in motion ,Seems When Bologna showed up from NY thats when the extortion money started to flow back NYC , Was Bologna the Main guy bringing money back to NY , What part did Bologna really play in the Springfield scheme ? , ...Thanks

Ask Anthony Arillotta, when becoming a made guy/captain how much pull do you have on political figures if any? Talking about 2000s to now.

He said in that interview with Borrello and Alite that he would run into Patriarca guys every once in a while but by the mid to late 90s and early 2000s, they had been pretty much wiped out. He said the Genovese Family had no competition from any other family in Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Western NY.

Why would the Genovese protect people it is not getting money from? I don’t buy that. Why not just become your own family why would the Genovese bother that whole time without getting a dime?
From what I've read, one of the reasons Bruno was out of favor with New York was regarding money. It's just my guess but I would imagine that was more about not sending enough money than no money at all. And as I mentioned before, it's a big reason why Arilotta rose up quickly. He was seen an an earner.
I see. I was just confused cause Aril said in the interview they were NOT kicking anything to them at all before him. This seems unrealistic and maybe a possible motive to conceal his role in the Bruno murder idk

He said Bruno’s name showed up on a 302 where he outted someone else as a made member in the Genovese Family. The guy was supposed to get a 2.5 year sentence, but instead got 3.5, and the judge said it was because he was a confirmed made member. Arillotta said he saw the actual 302 himself. That wasn’t the only reason Bruno was hit but it definitely got the ball rolling.

And Arillotta also said Bruno talking with the Feds was more of a “Whitey Bulger” situation where Bruno was willing to share info to get info. He said it wasn’t like Bruno was worried he was going to be indicted and started giving up info to stay on the street. He said Bruno had local politicians and law enforcement in his pocket for 15-20 years.

A time frame on when he was upped to Capo/Acting etc? (Nigro)
Who was in his crew/where was it based? (Nigro)

Any admin info from his time as Capo.

AWESOME work GMMS.
Nigro was originally from East Harlem and moved to the Country Club section of the Bronx like so many others in and around the Genovese. Not sure when he made Capo but i always thought he, at one point, was the Capo of the renowned 116th Street Crew...which followed the geographically trajectory of its members; East Harlem to eventually all points North

not trying to get into a whole Genovese thing but was Nigro ever really the acting boss of the entire family?

im going to revisit the crew succession thread, and i might be wrong, but I always thought Nigro was a part of the 116th crew

its just baffling they had essentially a separate family (family? they’re a glorified crew) up there and never took any money off of them? what the fucks the point?!? you mean to tell me that in the golden years when there were a million ways to make money, they turned a blind eye to profits...but in the early 2000s when things were hot and arguably more difficult to maneuver...THATS when they start to take an active interest in Springfield? and they use a non-made guy who was rumored, and eventually confirmed, to be an informant as the liaison?! yet they are geniuses because they play musical chairs with their admin spots and make guys get naked when they take the oath... something doesnt make sense with that.

Yes, Nigro was acting boss and appears to have been part of the 116th Street crew. A November 2008 FBI report said Nigro succeeded Muscarella on the panel when Muscarella went to prison after his indictment in 2002 and Nigro had been acting boss in late 2003.
All roads lead to New York.
