You know, I was thinking the same thing. It makes me wonder. The feds did have a hard on for Rainone for multiple reasons but it makes you wonder if Mags has a relationship with the Feds. Thing is 15 years is mandatory for felon in possession of a gun so how did they just drop the charges when a witness saw him shooting and they found the gun on him. You are right about rainone the feds were pissed be flipped and went back so they will nail him anyway possible. But back to mags no one gets let off on felon in possession

When the charges were dropped I immediately concluded he was probably a CI. Did I talk to him about it? No, I didn't bring it up. That's the kind of question that doesn't lend itself to conversation. If he's ready to discuss it on his own one day, that's fine, but I'm not out to put him in jeopardy.

I completely understand it’s hard to bring up without the person thinking your calling him an informant. And if he’s giving you solid info you don’t wanna alienate him so I get it

Yes for obvious reasons he was always very concerned about being labeled a ci. Have you talked to him recently? Haven’t seen him or fosco do anything in awhile
