To Everyone: By coincidence, I found that the alleged number of made members of the Gambino Family on the unattributed chart in question, 1000 members, is exactly the same alleged number of made members of the Gambino Family as stated at the bottom of a chart of the Gambino Family in Paul Meskil's 1973 book, "Don Carlo: Boss of Bosses." That chart was allegedly re-printed from a chart the New York Times printed on August 21, 1969, based on Congressional hearings.

I would like to know if, within the article in the magazine, there is a map of the United States with 24 Families noted on the map. It is entitled "La Cosa Nostra" with an Octopus superimposed on the map (the head of the Octopus is covering the states of Idaho and Montana). I looked up the article on the Internet, and found the body of the article, but with no chart (and no reference within the body of the article referring to a chart). Obviously, from my post you can deduce I have a copy of the chart, but I cannot figure out if the chart came from a Newsweek article or a Time magazine article. I know it came from one of these 2 publications. The closest thing I can figure out is that it may have came from the aforementioned Time magazine article. Regardless, I would like to track down the original magazine from which I copied this map. I cannot believe I don't own a copy of it, but I cannot find it in my collection of magazines on the subject. One other detail: the map has 24 Families, the name of the Family associated with the city, and a number next to each name with the assumed approximate number of members in the respective Family (interestingly, it shows Pittsburgh but not Scranton/Erie/Wilkes-Barre).

Any assistance would be appreciated.
