Tommy Karate
Anybody knows what happened to Karate’s Crew after he went down?
Re: Tommy Karate
I think he killed most of them off. Former associate Frank Gangi is on Facebook.

Gangi is another lying piece of shit as most rats are.
I looked at his photos. He has an old prison photo up posing with 2 other inmates, taken about 1980 I'm guessing. I recognized one as a guy known as Speedy, a very tough guy who I think is now doing life. Gangi's sister calls him Billy, Gangi corrects her and says "it's Speedy. " If I ever see Speedy again (probably not, even if he gets out we were not close ) but I would love to ask him about Gangi.

Found an old Capeci story on Gangi, it's second one. Judge Raggi destroys guys at sentencing and favors prosecutors in mob cases, but she gave Gangi a break twice. I think she was a prosecutor herself before being named a judge

I've thought about reaching out to Gangi to see if he'd be willing to do an interview. He could provide a lot of insight on Pitera and other members of that crew. Plus, Gangi's dad, Frank Gangi Sr., was an associate of the Genovese family who was murdered by Charles Gagliodotto, I'd be interested to hear more about his dad and the guys he was around.

Was his father the brother of Ross Gangi?TallGuy19 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 9:44 pm I've thought about reaching out to Gangi to see if he'd be willing to do an interview. I think so. I believe Frank Gangi Jr. is the nephew of Ross Gangi, but I'm not sure.AlexfromSouth wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 12:29 amWas his father the brother of Ross Gangi?TallGuy19 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 9:44 pm I've thought about reaching out to Gangi to see if he'd be willing to do an interview. Oh shit, I didn’t know, from what I can remember off of the top of my head (I read the book a year ago) he did get a few of them killed before he went down.TallGuy19 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 8:36 pm I think he killed most of them off. Former associate Frank Gangi is on Facebook.

I don’t remember him being mentioned in the book. You got any other info on Vincent “Kojak” Giattino? & was Tommy Pitera a Capo or was he just another made guy with a crew?Manhattan_ wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 3:43 am Think that Frankie (Jupiter) Martini was part of Tommy’s crew .

Re: Tommy Karate
Giattino was sentenced to life, he"s still in Allenwood. Billy Bright was a defendant with Pitera, he was killed in prison back in the early 90s
I dont know about any of the others

Re: Tommy Karate
When he was first made he was given a crew of drug-dealing associates, he may have been promoted to acting capo at some point, but he only spent about four years on the street as a made man. According to LCN Bios, he was made in early 1986 and imprisoned for life in 1990.TommyShots wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 5:13 amI don’t remember him being mentioned in the book. As long as hes not blowing lines you might get some info out of him. I always thought it was odd that a methodical cautious guy like Pitera would be close to a guy like gangi.

Re: Tommy Karate
I remember that Gangi around the weeks prior to him getting pulled over for drunk driving, he was scared & avoiding Pitera because Pitera warned him that he was tired of Gangi’s drug abuse. So he started avoiding him, then he got pulled over and started snitching because he knew that if Pitera caught wind of him getting pulled over because of drunk driving & Cocaine was also found in his system when he got checked he was going to kill him. Pitera saw drug abusers as weak people & couldn’t hold pressure.Mustangsally wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 4:23 pmTallGuy19 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 9:44 pm I've thought about reaching out to Gangi to see if he'd be willing to do an interview.
