Old man Profaci knew how to split his enemies.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Great article
I work in the food industry in the Ny/NJ area and seen firsthand how big Roma foods and all its affiliates are
Has me thinking about what other big companies out there now got their starts with known criminals at the helm.

Chris, great article. Weird they refer to it as the Profaci family. Didn't they go by the name Colombo by '83?
Glick told author Nicholas Pileggi that he expected to meet a banker-type individual, but instead, he found Alvin Baron to be a gruff, tough-talking cigar-chomping Teamster who greeted him with, “What the fuck do you want?”

Re: 1983 Profaci Family article
They did but this article was just as much about the Profaci blood family than it is the family they headed now called Colombos.Grouchy Sinatra wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 12:11 pm(Edited by CC)Pogo The Clown wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 10:21 am Old man Profaci knew how to split his enemies.

Who was this guy?
Re: Belated RIP Louis Piancone 1929 - 2019
He was alleged to have been a soldier in the New Jersey branch of the Colombo Family:

Pretty sure he lived in Holmdel. Kids went to HS there, somehow that's my memory.
