Joey Hansen is long been dead. As a previous poster stated, he died shortly before the family secrets trial. The FBI did take his DNA to link him to some of the murders. See below link for the justice report where they mention he is deceased. I’m not sure of the exact year but it’s between 2001 to 2005

I'm the previous poster and mentioned it in my first post. The FBI could have been mistaken. Not 100% verifiable at this point, but searching through death indexes don't yield a match. After all this coronavirus stuff blows over (and if I survive it) I'll go to the OC Hall of Records and do an in-person search to put this to rest. Can't do it now due to lockdown.

If he was alive I’m sure they would have rang him up on the Emil vaci hit being that he was the one that did it with nick calabrese and they locked up Paul schiro for being a lookout on the same hit but by all means see what you find

Speaking about Hansen...anyone ever investigated that quadruple 1977 hit? I dont remember in which state it occurred but i think that all four individuals were shot in an elevator or something like that....

I’ve heard that speculated on and it’s a completely reasonable assumption being she was killed in San Diego and he lived in la area. Hansen did a lot of work for the outfit and was definitely a shooter

We don't know what they would have done in the FS trial. There are still questions why John DiFronzo was never charged. For all we know, Hansen was a CI. Not saying that he was, but we don't know.

Update: His current address seems to be in Ladera Ranch near Mission Viejo and San Juan Capistrano in south OC.

I saw that a Joseph Charles Hansen, Jr. and a Michael Hansen both live at the same address (it is a condo, presumably with more than one unit). Joseph, Sr. was listed as another current occupant and 82 years old. Same age as the Outfit Joey. Do we know if Joey had kids? I also found it interesting that a Martha Neuman and Randy Neuman live in the same building. Larry Neumann was a killer and member of Spilotro's gang and was acquainted with Hansen. I know the surname spelling is different and this could be purely coincidental but I found it interesting nonetheless.
