Michael “Baldy Mike” Spinelli
In 1992, the reputed Lucchese family mobster was the getaway driver for a failed assassination attempt on a Brooklyn mom of three in her driveway. The botched hit was supposed to be a message to the woman’s brother — Lucchese soldier Peter “Fat Pete” Chiodo, a government witness. Convicted in 1998, Spinelli was sentenced to nearly 25 years. The 66-year-old gangster isn’t supposed to get out until 2029, but his lawyers insist he is now a yoga teacher with a “calm, positive influence on those around him,” and should be allowed to finish his sentence at home instead of in the coronavirus-infected Metropolitan Correctional Center.

Re: Baldy Mike Spinelli seeks compassionate release
I wonder why he's in the MCC and not in a USP or FCI somewhere around the country. Either way fuck him and especially fuck that EMT who raped a 10 year old girl trying to get released.
Re: Baldy Mike Spinelli seeks compassionate release
A yoga teacher, LOL.
Spinelli's brother was the legally-handicapped Lucchese associate who recently wore a wire against Vic Amuso behind bars IIRC. Could work in his favor if his brother were to write a letter recommending release, it would at least show the court that Spinelli is probably ostracized from the life due to his brother.
Also, IIRC, I think Spinelli was inducted in prison, and hasn't had a single day on the streets as a made man. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. If he does get released, and decides to live out the rest of his days teaching yoga, he'll have had the most uneventful career as a made man in recent history.

Correct on all counts.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Maybe he did change his life around, maybe he didnt. He served alot of time, release him. There is much, much worse being released. I mean they put 300 or so inmates up in hotels already.
