The Borello q and a sparked my interest again in the whole situation.

Since then The Fish Rabito has died (or was Nicky Santoro or both even?) Which I believe was almost the "neutral side" of these guys

If I'm remembering correctly, Badalamenti is a Mancuso loyalist and was his choice for consigliere. If I were to guess, I'd say Badalamenti was a strong possibility for being on the panel assisting Palazzolo

That's likely because he was wise enough not to risk violating his Prohibiton. Gang Land noted that he was back at the Banner Social Club in Bensonhurst the moment his probation ended in 2016, while guys like Ronnie Giallanzo, Joe DeSimone, and Anthony Pipitone stewed behind bars for showing up at those 2015 meet-ups.

However, I do recall JD writing on his blog that Badalamenti was on Mancuso's side. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I feel like hes somewhat misunderstood.... hes like Asaro right? Not a big racketeer, but a feared killer/ enforcer type, and yet, I'm not sure, does he have the charisma of a John Gotti?

Is he well liked? Or more so, widely respected?

He's based in Bensonhurst. I have no clue about whether he has support in wider boroughs. I haven't seen any evidence that he's a killer/enforcer, but he's owned and operated multiple businesses, and was involved in loansharking. I have no idea what sort of charisma he has, but the social club he runs is pretty famous, among Mafia observers.

Is he well-liked? I suppose so. He was acting boss. I haven't seen any evidence or tapes of people badmouthing him. To become acting boss means he's, by extension, well-respected, no? I don't know, I'm just inferring.
