Re: Philly Prime Podcast Episode 2
Thanks for posting. Couple of interesting things:
DS describes the Casasanto murder in the following way: somebody knocks at Casasanto's door. He knows who it is and lets him in. When Casasanto turns his back, two other men walk in the front door and shoot him.
So that's one Casasanto friend or associate and two Ligambi guys - one of whom was almost certainly Anthony Nicodemo. Damion Canalichio was identified to have knowledge of the Casasanto murder so he's a candidate for Nicodemo's companion but 'having knowledge' doesn't necessarily mean he was on the scene.
When discussing the other murders LE is looking into (beyond Turchi, Martorano, Casasanto and DiPietro), GA mentions the 1999 Gino Marconi hit and the Rocco Maniscalco shooting (though they say they aren't sure Maniscalco was a mob hit but was possibly related to organised crime in some way).

'You don't go crucifying people outside a church; not on Good Friday.'
Re: Philly Prime Podcast Episode 2
That was the initial report, that multiple people could be seen entering Casasanto's home on surveillance footage or something. I'd be surprised though if the plan went off like DS suggests. Makes more sense that someone of trust fronted for two others who also were friendly with him and he trusted them enough to let them all in the door. Its not like he didn't have neighborhood connections to half of the guys downtown, even if he was aligned with Stanfa for a time.

The part about Tommy Scafidi thinking the Turchi hit was a message to him because it happened around the time of his (Scafidi's) birthday cracked me up.
"This is for you, Tommy... on your birthday!"

To be fair, his brother was pretty young when he went off to college.

Here's great background information on the Rocco Maniscalco hit:chin_gigante wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 4:29 pm Thanks for posting. Couple of interesting things:
