Wiseguys have been doing home invasions since at least the 1970s. Pistone talks about guys doing in it his book. If memory serves so does Henry Hill. Hell wasn't Joe Masseria arrested for robbing someone's home back in the 1910s? If there is a buck to be made they will do it regardless of who might get hurt.

Seems like NY guys, home invasions were the venture of younger crews, they weren’t the crime that a Made guy would be taking part in.

He was the one supposedly robbing Festa and his and the Bonanno crew's stash houses , He was a serious NUTCASE and the ultimate POS ! He'd threaten and assault Wives , Husbands, Women , Kids , Senior citizens and whoever else but the thing was without a gun or a weapon which he always carried or had on hand close by he was nobody , He couldn't fight himself out of a wet paper bag . The guy was minting a literal fortune off drugs , Crack , Coke , Heroin , Pills , Weed etc...Crack and heroin being his favorites and top money makers . He had a bunch of runners on the street and he was a ruthless Psycho , probably made Borrello look like a saint . It was only a matter of time before he was killed by a long list of people . He did contract work for anyone , You need to collect call Cognata , Scare people call Cognata , Rob someone call Cognata and so on and so forth . He thought he was the 2nd coming of John Gotti until he was killed in self defense by that kid Joe Amatuccio who was selling for him and using dope which put him in debt to Cognata . The kid Amatuccio is still sitting on Rulers with an A1 felony murder for over 2 years now , Almost 3 . And that kid was no gangster or really didn't aspire to be , He was just a kid with a big addiction

But he was supposedly taken in by the Gambinos and was dealing tons of drugs and was just a Psychopath nutcase who was involved in literally tons of shit when he was shot and killed

He wasn't using drugs just selling them . He was with whatever was left of the Trucchio crew and some others . Supposedly they liked to use him to do whatever . Supposedly years ago his father or his uncle ? Or a few of his relatives were with Gotti Sr. And used to hang at the Bergen

In the 1950s home invasions was happening. All the numbers guys and ladies would get hit eventually as time went by and the longer there game lasted. Now if these were mob approval type invasians is another conversation. People who wasnt italian were doing this mostly. But Im sure during the joe the boss days italian fobers was doing this shit if they knew someone had bank. It was an easier score back then since nobody trusted the police and 911 wasnt a number yet.
