He would be recognized because he's a made guy. But the most likely connection would probably be if a NY guy and Detroit guy were in the same prison.

The Giacalone name is tied so much to the Hoffa murder, so I would say the Giacalone name is still very well known. It's not like your talking about some obscure LCN member. Not as famous as his dad or uncle, but the last name has Detroit LCN written all over it.

The Toccos and the Profacis are related by marriage. Lol I don't want to start a 300 page thread, but to put it short they recognize them for what they are now. Protocol is if a Family wanted to open up business in what has traditionally been Detroit territory, the would have to contact Giacalone in some way. I would assume these rules should be clarified, since there will be more defunct families in the future. Does this go on till all the made men are dead??

Realistically a strong NY Family could tell Giacalone to go get fucked, if they really wanted to. These guys are gangsters and break rules all the time.

Well here comes the fan boy. One who the hell is talking about what goes on in prison? Two what documented interractions do you have between Detroit and NY in say this century other than your own guesses and fantasies? Christ we know from People like Bonanno and others have said that the ties between Detroit-NY were already breaking during the 60s. What could they possibly be in 2020?

Not really. Certainly nothing significant.

Today you have the 5 families in the New York metropolitan area. Also the small DeCavalcante family that also falls within that sphere.

Then you have small families in Philadelphia and New England that are further away but still have some interaction and ties to New York.

Chicago is the only other small family left and its out on an island by itself.

As the national presence of the LCN has receded, the ties between families have been disappearing for decades. Apalachin, where a bunch of guys from all over the country could get together in one place and know each other, or have any mutual interests, might as well be ancient history.

Lol, it's hard enough to find Outfit activity in and around Chicago. My guess is very little to none, as far as Outfit interaction you other families.
