The John Alite Question

Lets address a real issue here. How is this guy still walking around out in the open in Freehold, NJ after becoming a pentito and making up all these bullshit stories. Not only is he walking around/living openly in a pretty well known NJ suburb, but he is always in NYC. Could it be that the Gambino's don't even care about this guy or is the saying true "cosa nostra never forgets"? Pretty sure this guy is not in Witsec anymore either. Lets here what the board has to say about this rat.

It could just be that the mob doesn’t care about Alite. Whacking Alite wouldn’t benefit them in any way, it would just draw a lot of heat.

Am I wrong or didn’t he only testify against gotti? If that’s the case since gotti is shelved I don’t think the Gambino s care enough to make a move on him. There are numerous stories of him getting his ass kicked tho so he’s generally not regarded in much esteem
