1989 bomb at Ravenite Social Club

Did they ever find out who was behind the 1989 attempted Bomb at the Ravenite Club ? Bottle bomb was found at steps of the Club , Cops reciveved a tip\ call about it ,then went over and located it . If so who was it and why? Wonder what the guys at the Club thought about it / who they thought was behind it at the time . I’m surprised nothing on the wire taps was said about it.

Also I’m sure at Gotti’s Sr last trial he found about DuPont bring girls into the Ravenite after it was closed Late night. Mouw and his fbi team realized Dupont was taking girl there after hours and hooking up with them in Gotti’s office. Is anything out there on Gotti’s reaction when finding out about it?

It was some local whackjob named Michael McCray. He billed himself as an anti-drug campaigner and said he did it to send a message to drug dealers and criminals.

Yes Michael McCray was his name, a religious nut with no mob ties.
Three days after losing his job as a photo technician at a Queens hospital, McCray planted his homemade bomb trying to ignite a fire that would trap Gotti inside, but the bomb was crudely made and wouldnt ignite. a "born again Christian", he was arrested and said he was fed up with Gotti's antics in the neighborhood. "Gotti is evil", he said to cops. "I want him because of the drugs and the murders". He pled guilty to aggravated harassment and received three years probation.
