Papa was an associate, and not an informer. He was also killed by Black inmates, not the Aryans.

In prison there are attacks and fights often, and when a high profile guy comes in there is always one nutcase who wants to go after them.

Papa was informing on New York policemen who had helped him and Sperling steal back 400 pounds of heroin confiscated in the infamous 1962 French Connection bust, which took place out of the Bronx and was immortalized in the Oscar-winning eponymously-titled film starring Gene Hackman, Roy Scheider and Tony Lo Bianco a decade later. The $2,000,000 worth of heroin was ripped off from a NYPD evidence-storage locker in the months following the movie’s 1971 release to theatres.

Papa was never considered a rat buy wise guys, the cops had informed on him, and on each other, if he did talk about them it was in response to their testimony against him. Sperling was a nutcase, a dangerous one. He hated Papa and any other big name out of jealousy, Sperling got off on his rep and hated anyone who was considered as big as him by other inmates.

I get that but is Johnson still alive ? Some were saying he's dead , Someone else said he survived the stabbing . If he did survive I wonder where he is ? He might of been set up to be killed by cops since he did go back to prison for killing a cop . He's probably cell mates with Casso lol
