Strongest and Weakest Crew in Relevant Families current and or historical

Post by Targenmantarian »

Highly subjective.

But what are your thoughts?

The Five and of you think Philly even has differentiation then weigh in.

Here's few top crews :

Corozzo ALLWAYS said to have one of the biggest and best crews for modern day binos. (Wonder how that'll play with him coming home)

Spero for the bonannos

Casso had major money making w the B and E crew with lukes. As well as the E NY (VARIO CREW)

Micheal Franzese for Colombos with the gas tax scam. Made millions.

And as mentioned 116th crew for West Side.

As well as I'd say the Knickerbocker Ave crew was pretty important with the Bonannos. They basically made the power turn involving Galante

The Lucheses little ltaly manhattan crew were huge earners cause of heroin but maybe not as respected as their Harlem crew.

The Bonnanos Bronx crew is clearly strong now.

The Gambino's garment district crew earned huge but clearly didn't have a lot of hitters. They were like ceremonial royalty.

Franzeses Long island crew was pretty storied.

Stangos crew in the decavs was pretty embarrassing of late. As was the Rotondo regime before he flipped.

Vario Crew (or all of the East Brooklyn Luke's).

Bruno Facciolo alone had 20 guys with him and he was just a soldier. (according to D'Arco).
They also had the Jimmy Burke/Roberts lounge group - another dozen or so characters.
They had 2 contract NYPD killers on payroll.
And of course all the made guys like Louie Daidone and the other Lukes in Canarsie, Flatlands, Mill Basin, Ozone, etc.

The only other competition they had in that area was Demeo/Corrozo crews of the Gambinos.

Lol all these posts are pretty much repeating itself so we probably did a good job w that.

But.... Sonny Blacks crew was weak??? What???
Do u mean bc of the brasco fall out?? Before that it's possible Sonny was acting boss (probably just brasco fiction tho...) But even 30 years later.... All the black crew held high positions.... Rabito, Santoro...

Anyone else wanna comment on Sonny Blacks crew??

He was released to halfway house in the summer. He’s already done with that and fully at home for a couple months now.

So safe to say he retired??

Part of being in a halfway house and on parole is being employed. I always wondered if these are actual jobs they go on or if they are similar to the GL article about Madonna being a salesman for the beverage company

Definitely not retired. He’s everything he was before he went away. Yes they need to have a job lined up to even qualify to be placed in a halfway house. Most of the time they don’t actually do any work but every situation is different. In 05 when Nicky got out he was working at a Ford dealership and he had to have some sales on the books so when certain guys would come see him for favors he would make them buy a car. I’m not talking about wiseguys but businessmen or well to do guys who needed something from him and he knew they could afford it.
They’d walk around the showroom talking about whatever problem the guy had and he’d stop at a car and say see this car this is a nice car, your wife would love this car. He’d call over a salesman and tell him help my friend fill out the paperwork for this car then he’d say l’ll look into that problem for you call me tomorrow I’ll let you know how it looks.
At that point the guy has no choice but to buy the car.

Some do retire in a way, you can never fully walk away though, you are a member for life, but they won't force a guy to get involved in anything against the law if he wants to go legit. If the feds are pressuring a guy they can harass whoever hires him.

They don't follow up that hard with people.

Especially if you aren't violating and pissing dirty. They'll often take your word for whatever you're doing if you show up there and pay your halfway house fees.
