He's the nephew of Lucchese captain Joseph DeSena.
Re: peter tuccio- kid w merlino
If this is true...how many crews does that make that the lucchese family has then...8,9?

Re: peter tuccio- kid w merlino
It came out in court testimony during the recent Lucchese case that the family has 7 crews - 2 in the Bronx, 2 on Long Island, 1 in Manhattan, 1 in New Jersey, and 1 in Brooklyn (actually based on Staten Island now).
All roads lead to New York.
Re: peter tuccio- kid w merlino
They went down over the last 16 years , Like WG said in the testimony there's 7 crews today . In 2004 it was reported in 2-3 places that the Luccheses had 9 total crews with 82 total members , So they supposedly lost 2 full crews , I don't think Pennisi ever said how many total members there are ?

Do you recall where you saw that 2004 mention of 9 crews and 82 members?Bklyn21 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 5:09 pmThey went down over the last 16 years , Like WG said in the testimony there's 7 crews today . Obviously D'Arco's 1991 chart showed 9 crews. There was a 2002 article that cited 113 members and a 2004 article that cited 91 members.
Most estimates for the family have been around 100 members or so for years now. Pennisi didn't mention membership other than to say each crew had 7 or 8 members. But he'd have to be talking active members to correspond with the total membership estimates.

I’d been wondering the same thing. So the Luke’s were joeys escorts in the city ? Thought that Tuccio was a Gambino associate and got kicked out of them for something embarrassing?
Re: peter tuccio- kid w merlino
I'm pretty sure it was made by Capeci and afterward was posted by the Post and another publication , I'm gonna see if I can find it. I read it about 3 weeks ago looking through old articlesWiseguy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 5:20 pmDo you recall where you saw that 2004 mention of 9 crews and 82 members?Bklyn21 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 5:09 pmThey went down over the last 16 years , Like WG said in the testimony there's 7 crews today . According to a February 2004, New York Post article, the Lucchese family consisted of about 9 capos and 82 soldiers making the family the fourth largest in New York City. --Jerry Capeci . I copied some of Different articles , This was part of one , I need to find what article I found it
it's also In the Wiki but I don't really go by those

Re: peter tuccio- kid w merlino
Tuccio was first on record with with the Bonannos with Giallanzo with Palmaccio and then got into aome beef where they left him out in the cold and tried to set him up , Then he was supposedly with the Gambinos after and was being protected by them and then he ends up with Merlino and in Philly and in all those pics with Philly guys (Grande etc.) And the Merlino Courthouse crap . I don't know ? Maybe they sent him off to Philly ? Thats where he wound upMason_dixon wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 5:33 pm I’d been wondering the same thing. Re: peter tuccio- kid w merlino
I think we're referring to the same article. 82 soldiers + 9 captains = 91. It was a follow up to a 2002 article by the same author that cited 113 members.Bklyn21 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 6:44 pm According to a February 2004, New York Post article, the Lucchese family consisted of about 9 capos and 82 soldiers making the family the fourth largest in New York City. --Jerry Capeci . Who does Philly answer to the Genovese or gambinos or are they on their own?
Re: peter tuccio- kid w merlino
