Additional few from the top of my head... Molly Zelko (1950s), Rita Payonk (1970s). Zelkos hit was allegedly ordered by Daddono, LaPorte and Vogel, while the second hit... maybe I'm wrong but I think i read somewhere that Lombardo was allegedly the prime suspect for ordering Payonks murder

I always thought Roemer's respect for Accardo was misplaced. Roemer always contrasted the gentlemanly Accardo with the savage Giancana when they were just two sides of the same coin. Another example, Accardo's decision to kill his old loyal houseman in the 1970s was barbaric (if rational from his perspective).

Accardo had the uncle of Sam Volpe - who was Joey Aiuppa's attorney and represented a lot of the Melrose Park guys - killed for letting that home burglary happen on his watch (though many believe that Volpe guy was in on the score from the start, I am not one of them - anyone who worked for Accardo would realize that was a death wish.) I think Accardo was just like Remo in Casino - "Ah why take a chance? Kill the guy."

I agree 100%. Roemer sometimes seems like a gangster fanboy; he didn't even want to participate in the arrest of Murray Humphreys in 1965, out of "respect". Bad decision, imo: he could have enjoyed watching Humphreys acting like a nut, when he pointed a gun at the agents and bit the hand of one, to the point of drawing blood.

No idea why he respected those guys; even though they were definitely clever (although Humphreys acted crazy in that situation), but being clever isn't enough to be worthy of respect imo.

Both Accardo and Giancana we're quite ruthless since they both rose up in the organization during tough times such as the late 20's, 30's and 40s. Accardo wasn't much older than Giancana and when Tony became the boss, Sam was his number two guy. BUT it seems that Accardo was more dark and savage and he also never backed off from the life, while on the other hand Giancana went a little bit soft and wanted the spotlight and also everything else which comes with it. He should've make a move to enter the showbiz and stay there lol

That's why during the 70s we have top notch savages as leaders of the Outfit such as Nicoletti, Lombardo, Torello and LaPietra, all approved by Accardo.

So yeah Roemer praised the wrong guy...maybe Mad Sam's urine somehow affected his brain lol

Yes, he died right after being released on bail, if I remember correctly.

Have a strong presence in a few neighborhoods things are just different. I have a buddy who has run a huge independent book for years and no one from the outfit has ever tried to shake him down but being in the same business he rubs shoulders with some of them. They don’t seem to shake independents down anymore like the old days cuz it brings too much heat

If I remember correctly, it was unnamed "mob watchers" or "mobologists" that believed DeLaurentis was the new consigliere, the new #1, etc. I'm not sure we've gotten a clear answer to what the FBI currently believes.

Since 2014 9 names have come up about what was traditionally 4 administration positions. Obviously not all at the same time, but kind of bunched up at times. I don't think the FBI has come out with any info about the administration in that time period.
