Just to clarify, the James I saw as made was the son and namesake of Skippy's brother. Sorry for the confusion.

Fingerprint on the title of the getaway car. Seifert's wife also said that one of the men present at Daniel's murder was Joey. She claimed that she did not mention this before because she feared for her and her children's lives. Nick also testified that Fecarotta told him Lombardo was present at Seifert's murder. Bobby Siegel also testified that Joey strongly hinted during a golf outing that he was responsible for Seifert's murder. I thought this was the weakest of the murder convictions at the trial. I think the evidence was there but was it indisputable?

Dom Guzzino died - he owned the Taste of Italy restaurant where the Heights Crew operated from. Nicky "Jumbo" Guzzino is still alive.

Thanks for the correction since I started searching for the info through my files and couldn't find anything lol

Btw do we know the exact year when Lombardo was made? Was it somewhere around 1970 or maybe after Cain's demise?

The Guzzino family has quite a history around C City and Chicago heights, starting with Joe who I believe was a crew boss first under Ammirato and later under LaPorte

I believe it was 1970 at the very latest; the first FBI files to recognize him as made were in 1972 or 1973, although these were often a couple of years behind as they caught up with intel. I have also heard he was made for killing Manny Skar.

Thanks again and yeah you might be right since by 1974 the feds labeled him as one of the four major capos, which also included DiBella, Pilotto and Torello

This is totally subjective, but in my opinion Family Secrets and the Sarno case were the real end. Everything after that is just leftovers.

Always thought the same. Especially Seiferts wife’s testimony, she recognized his voice? He likely did it, but was a bit surprised at how thin the evidence was overall.

Lumbo was dating a very attractive woman at the time of this hit - Bonnie Ventetto who was from Melrose Park.

Here is another story out of Melrose Park about Seifert and its ramifications - the Getaway car was stored in Buddy Ciotti's garage by Louie Eboli and his brother. Buddy was having troubles with his wife at the time - she allegedly got drunk and threatened to go to the cops about the car because she knew it was used in a murder. Buddy apparently killed his wife - it was deemed a suicide but those were days all of Melrose Park was owned by the Outfit.

THe wife's family hired a private investigator - story goes Louie Eboli gave a ton of money to the family to get them to shut up.

I also believe those guys hit an innocent teenage girl and ran her over as they fled the scene after shooting Seifert.

Class acts these mob guys ;)

Thanks for the additional info bud.

During my research on the Outfit, I came to a simple conclusion that some of these fellas ran over many people during different times and situations, and in the end most of them walked free. I'm talking about the 30s, 40s and 50s, where we usually have one or two drunk Outfit guys in one car, running over people and getting away free. One example from the top of my head is when Alex and one Joe Vinci killed one innocent individual with their car. They simply got away with it and this was just one of those examples in which we can witness the power of the Chicago Mafia at the time.

You figure if they squashed murder investigations and trials they could squash anything.
