Late Thursday afternoon or Friday morning, the Government intends to call FBI Special Agent UCE-6398 to introduce GX 702A and 702A-T, the August 18, 2014 recording between Joseph Datello, CW-2, and UCE-6398 and its corresponding transcript. Later in the trial, the Government intends to offer through CW-2 an additional recording from January 30, 2015 in which UCE-6398 also participated. UCE-6398 was involved in the FBI’s investigation into La Cosa Nostra (“LCN”) from 2014 until 2016. In this role, UCE-6398 acted as a businessperson who was funding narcotics transactions involving Datello, CW-2, and Carlos Gomez, and providing CW-2, Datello and others with untaxed cigarettes. In the recordings and corresponding transcripts the Government intends to offer at trial, UCE-6398 is identified by his undercover number or as “Pete” -- the first name he gave the LCN members and associates with whom he did business. The Government does not intend to offer UCE-6398’s real name or full undercover identity, as neither is relevant to the guilt or innocence of the defendants or the undercover’s credibility."

My thinking is that it's Robert Spinelli, from Gangland a few months ago,

Back in 2014, a slow witted mob informer who was helping the feds build a racketeering and murder case against a bunch of Luchese gangsters forgot to turn off his recording device. As a result, Gang Land has learned, the turncoat recorded some embarrassing comments from an FBI undercover agent that were never supposed to see the light of day.

The snitch, mob associate Robert Spinelli, recorded himself telling the FBI agent that one of the targeted gangsters had repeatedly refused to take part in a drug deal that Spinelli was pushing. The gangster, Spinelli is heard telling the agent, told him that he had sworn off cocaine trafficking years earlier.

"That's okay," the undercover G-man, using the name "Pete," is heard telling Spinelli, according to court records. "We can facilitate him to do it. This is like playing a chess game. We'll plant the seed, the seed will grow," he said. "Pete," sources say, was playing the role of a trucker with loads of stolen jewelry to sell who was also eager to get into the drug smuggling business.

Christopher Londonio — whose formerly 350-pound frame graced The Post’s “Veal Shank Redemption” front page Friday — was unidentifiable to Lucchese turncoat Joseph Foti in court in White Plains, Westchester County, despite the witness knowing the defendant for years.

i really don't understand, one of the biggest trials in recent years and it's getting nearly zero press! the porky case got plenty of press, nicky santoro and his guys got plenty of press but this case nothing.

True. It’s not even like this case is boring, the feds have the family on trial for murder. Had the Gambinos been on trial, i feel like the trial would’ve gotten more coverage. It could be that the lucchese family isn’t a household name.

I agree, it seems that of the five families the Lucchese are the most "unknown" people seem to know more about Genovese and Gambino.
