Question about mob and casinos in the Chicago area. It's a big thing right now here, with a "racino" being built in one of the suburbs by the same guys who are affiliated with Arlington Race Track.

There aren't racetracks in the south suburbs any more with Balmoral having closed up some time ago. However, I just read a recent article about concern there might be mob ties to some of these casinos being proposed.

There's one that's being proposed by a Tribe -- the company is making their proposal tomorrow -- and several other villages are vying for a piece of the action.

Does the mob still have its hand in the casino business?

It appears so. Although In the recent Anthony Pandrella indictment both Marino and Lombardozzi were referenced as captains.

According to court documents, Pandrella has been a Gambino crime family associate since as early as 2002, when law enforcement say they first saw him attending meetings with known Gambino family captains Daniel Marino and George Lombardozzi in Manhattan restaurants.

I know I saw a thread or posts that had a list of Carmine Persico’s crew members but I can’t find it using the search feature and I’ve searched 20 pages of threads looking for it.

Does anyone know what thread it was in or where I can find that info??
