I wonder if the feds will fuck this case up to. Their track record has been kinda shit lately.

Atleast Joey Amato dresses pretty sharp and styles himself as a mobster, they are a bit of a gavone/blue collar/brokester crew but still wiseguys none the less.

Ya I seen that before it’s a good one
Re: More than a dozen locked up on gambling and extortion charges in staten island
Also, how retarded must his son and their friends be. Amato’s house and car were searched in May of 2017, yet for the next two years they continued to blab on the phone. It’s one thing to talk on the phone if you don’t know you’re being investigated, but it’s another thing to talk on the phone in the midst of a known investigation. And the funniest line was from his son to Benjamin Bifalco, the college basketball guy, who asked if he should “talk about this in the phone.”
"I mean, why not?" Amato Jr. answered. "You talk about everything else on the f------ phone, and you’re an idiot."

It’s 2019 none of these fuckin guys should be talking anything illegal on the phone. It blows my mind that we still have mob guys getting caught blabbing on their personal phone. I know guys that sell dime bags of weed that don’t even talk over the phone how stupid do ya gotta be.
That’s the guy, Adriana. My Uncle Tony. The guy I’m going to hell for.

Paulie hated phones. He wouldn’t have one in his house. He used to get all his calls second hand then you’d have to call the people back from an outside phone. there were guys that’s all they did all day long was take care of Paulie’s phone calls.
Maybe those guys should have thrown that cosa nostra book away and just take a lesson from goodfellas

“He who does not study history is DOOMED to repeat it”!....... a very famous phrase that I think applies nicely to this conversation..... and the mob in general today.AntComello wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 5:42 am It’s 2019 none of these fuckin guys should be talking anything illegal on the phone. Any mob guy in the last seventy years who talks on the phone is a dumb bell! ......and in the last thirty years with the unbelievable technology available to LE today, it’s almost comical that idiots still fall victim to this phone “diarrhea” of the mouth!
-
And I think it’s very representative of the “quality” of things today out there. No training, no smarts, no “sixth” sense of things. IMO many should be in another line of work.

I think we tend to think too highly of past wise guys. They all did what today’s guys are doing , I mean the Sicilians in the Pizza Connection would talk on the phone and they were supposedly the most secretive.
They were just as much idiots as these guys ( for the most part ) but lived in a time where you could get away with murder, which was a very valuable tool.

I wonder if we will ever be able to find out which college hoops team they were trying to shave points with, as a degenerate college hoops bettor I am beyond curious to know...
Re: More than a dozen locked up on gambling and extortion charges in staten island
It’ll be in discovery material or court testimony should any of them go to trial, but it’s likely that Benjamin Bifalco (the only guy actually charged with attempted sports betting) will take some sort of plea deal and us on the forum will be left in the dark.NJShore4Life wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 3:21 pm I wonder if we will ever be able to find out which college hoops team they were trying to shave points with, as a degenerate college hoops bettor I am beyond curious to know...
