He enjoys the walk over the Intracoastal Bridge to the Banana Boat. It relaxes him. He's a real hoot at those Jamaican Sunday brunches .

I've been to that place w/ my parents!! I saw 65yr old white snow birds grinding up to 27yr old black dreadlocked dudes. What a freak show that was. What's the name of the other place across the lagoon? Seems a little more hip.

The Two Georges. Uglier place, but a classier crowd, if that makes any sense.

Yep that's it. Seems to have a big happy hr crowd there. I don't really spend allot of time in Boynton. Mostly delray, lauderdale or further up north in Jupiter north palm beach area. My buddy has an interest in 101 ocean in Lauderdale by the sea. Good place one block in from Aruba's. Check it out next winter good food and drinks.

HairyKnuckles wrote:It´s confusing. Both "our" DeVita and the one who passed back in March were formerly of Livingston, NJ. And they share the same first and last names. What are the odds for that? The year of birth shown in the obitaury is off though. "Our" Devita was born in 1935 or 1931. (1935 according to the attachment posted above but 1931 according to newspaper articles on him.)
It's not him, HK. It's a cousin.

"Our" DeVita (I like that  ) is about 85. Plus, this obit says formerly of Livingston. "Our" DeVita was born in Sicily. And I've never seen an obit in my life where an American who was born in Italy didn't have it mentioned in his/her obit.

All moot, anyway. It's definitely not him. Westside Sil is alive and well. And Rocco is right about his spending his winters in Boynton Beach. He has a place in Ocean Ridge.
Thanks for the clarification. If DeVita is about 85, that would mean he was born around 1930. So the YOB shown in the attachment above (1935) is erronous. A newspaper clipping on his arrest for robbery/murder from 1951 says he was 20 years old at the time. Other clippings suggests the same, that he was born in 1930 or 1931.
There you have it, never printed before.

This guy hasn't been indicted in forever. Beginning to think he is semi retired like Andy Gerardo did. Maybe he has an acting Capo for him up here. Anyone have a list of active guys in the crew? Is John "Blue" DeFroscia in this crew..?

I checked and he has been out since 2007.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.
