The ability to replenish ranks is the determining factor.

I think the Genovese are the most sophisticated in the shadows and still have some Viable rackets like construction, Waste hauling/Recycling, Waterfront and overall labor racketeering in different unions locals and industries is because of they're partnerships and heavy affiliations with Jewish racketeers/Gangsters and the they're legitimate offspring involved in Casinos,Gambling, Hotels, Unions, Politics etc etc. The Jews taught them well and they still have connections to the Jews who run entertainment, Wall street, Talent agencies and films and Record companies on the west coast and other places . They are the most Americanized of the families. But, Anyway this is nothing new, Most of us know the scope and depth of the Westside ! Whatevers left of Chicago IMO I still think the Westside shares values and partnerships with Chicago in some form or fashion ,Even though I cant prove that in anyway because there is really nothing out there to prove it ,Just opinion and speculation, But, I really dont know where the fuck the Bonannos find so many guys in they're late 20's 30s and 40s compared to the other 4 fams
