Matty Madonna and Crea Upcoming trial

Post by Mason_dixon »

2 very interesting and successful life long mobsters. What are their chances of beating the wrap? Haven’t heard much about this yet this trial is huge and very brazen that in 2013 they just had had enough and kill Michael Meldish. These guys are old school to the bone and simply don’t care.

I’m curious to see if either one of these guys flip. They both just beat the Feds once already, but now there is rumors they’ve been shelved? I can’t see how that would improve the odds that they’d both eat a potentially long sentence.

Im thinking their chances on beating the murder charge are decent. The three witnesses the government have are pretty untrustworthy. The first is Frank Pasqua III who has contradicted himself by telling the feds his father killed Meldish and then switching his story around and pointed the finger at Christopher Londonio and cladwell. The second is that junkie who has mental issues who was Londonio's cellmate, he claims that Londonio spilled his guts to him and told him every detail about the murder including who ordered it. Sounds like total bullshit to me, its very obvious he made it all up to try and get his sentence reduced. The third witness is John Pennisi a former mob soldier. Pennisi was in a different faction then Crea and Madonna and i dont think he knows much about the Meldish murder. So in the end they have two witnesses who have lost pretty much all credibility and the other doesnt know much about the killing. Londonino may be fucked though assuming the feds have any dna evidence that can tie him to the shooting; if not I bet he has a good chance of acquittal also.

Matty wont flip no matter what. He did 20 yrs inside and not even the death penalty will get him to flip. There’s a very slim chance that Crea Sr would cut a deal to get his son off the hook. I’d say both guys will beat the murder charges at trial since the evidence is pretty weak, but i can’t say the same for the other racketeering charges.

IMO .... they have a big problem. Even if the murder drops. These Rico’s are a bitch. And they’ve got a lot of counts against them

I can see both of them bein acquitted of the most serious charges but still getting 20 yrs on lesser charges. Sorta like what happened to tommy shots. Doesn’t seem like too much of a win but thats just the life.

Agreed!.... that’s what these conspiracy laws do. Always did, but Rico brings it to a ridiculous degree!

I think we will see sentences in the 12-20 range with a not guilty on the murders. Pennisi knows a lot, the rat bastard.

Its over for Matty anyways. Matty has spent like 90% of adult life in can...and he's fuckin Geriatric ! I doubt he or Crea will walk on all charges. Even if they beat the murder rap they will get them on lesser charges. Its over for those guys.

Thanks for the reply dudes. I think this mafia shit in New York is so fucking interesting how these guys keep the culture from the old county alive. I am German/Sweed and Scottish/Irish and besides me looking like A poster child for the Hitler youth and being taught little bits of German by my somewhat ethnic grandmother our culture while German culture is very dominant in the Midwest is nothing like this Italian mafia and Italian heritage I. New York City and I respect that. Matty Madonna should have a movie made about him if that guy ever talked holy cow!

Shelved for what? They just ran the family fairly successfully for several years and they were very loyal to Vic not like those treacherous Bonanno's under Mikey Nose.

I’m not exactly sure how loyal Madonna and Crea were to Vic ... they were both part of the Bronx faction which historically has controlled the Luccheses except for Vic and gas... I’m pretty sure Vic has no other options. Matty and Crea and straight up gangsters their leadership and money making ability is unparalleled

You're right they are straight up gangsters as you put it and it seems to me they could have taken the family if they wanted to but they never did. They also gave up their spots when Vic told them to, replaced by none other than Vics other option.

not only did he replace them, they said there was a supposed "murder plot" for them. Was there any more info about that?

So, long story short, they probably werent "loyal" to Vic. In Mob Boss, at the very end D'Arco claimed that he talked with Crea Snr about possibly killing them and taking over... and then I think Crea Snr almost was put on Gas' hit list.
HANG IT UP NICKY. ITS TIME TO GO HOME.
