I like these 2 quotes by Willie Marfeo to Henry Tameleo, if they are real:

1) "You people want a loaf of bread and you throw the crumbs back. Well, fuck you. I ain't closing down."

2) "Get out of here, old man. Go tell Raymond to go shit in his hat. We're not giving you anything."

Even though he was whacked for this, it still took guts to say it, knowing what was coming after.

"This life of ours, this is a wonderful life. If you can get through life like this and get away with it, hey that's great. But it's very unpredictable. There's so many ways you can screw it up."

"You can get farther in life with a kind word and a gun than you can with just a kind word." - Al Capone

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

I've read that this was not really said by Capone but rather by some earlier gangster. It might have been Michael Cassius MacDonald. Not sure...

He had a lot of good quotes that get attributed to other people. For example, it was actually McDonald who said "There's a sucker born every minute", which most people think was PT Barnum.

Speaking of knowing your stuff, the cab driver who took me home from Binion's earlier today knew all about mob stuff and actually knew that Tommy Andretta had recently passed away. I was kind of blown away by that.

I had a similar experience recently with a Uber driver. We drove by a Movie theater that only shows older movies. I commented how I wished they would show the godfather and we started talking about mob movies. He mentioned he was in Vegas when they were filming casino back in the day and before long we had a conversation going about FranK Cullota and The hole in the wall gang. And this was in Texas
