Where’s Philly’s indictment?

Post by slimshady_007 »

Any word on the impending indictment on the Philly mob? It seems like we’ve been talking about it happening for forever now. The joe electric case out of nj incriminated baby dom and Anastasia said the feds r looking into unsolved murders so an indictment is inevitable.

I am sure they are taking their time to build the case. It will be interesting to see what they have on Dom besides the few excerpts of him saying he has to kick a share up to the top.

The feds likely have nothing on those murders but a theory, they have been looking into them for years. Their best shot was Nicodemo flipping and that didn't happen. I guess they will try to flip Grande but he probably doesn't know much outside of the DiPietro one unless Nicodemo told him about Gongs.

They were talking about an indictment for a long time before the 2011 one came down.

Grande is in steve mazzone’s inner circle so Grande could know a lot about philly’s unsolved murders. With today’s rico laws the feds could prob tie DiPietro’s murder to Grande in some way or another. The feds r up Grande’s ass big time and I don’t that stopping anytime soon. He seems like someone the feds would love to flip. Fairly young guy, knows all the key players, and hasn’t rly done time.

They can't tie that murder to Grande unless Nicodemo flips, which he probably would have done by now if that was the path he was taking.

Grande could implicate himself in the murder on wiretap if he’s not careful.

Servidio buried himself on those tapes. He deserves what he gets.

Crazy thought. Maybe the reason Dom Grande hasn't been picked is because he has started to cooperate? Like father like son.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Groundbreaking observations here (sarcasm alert). More likely, the tapes they have don't incriminate Dom in the drug dealing specifically or any violence and they have other tapes where Dom tells AP that he is forbidden from drug dealing by the rules. They don't release those tapes to the media or print them in the indictment. My guess is that AP went to Dom and said that he and Servidio were going to run some construction scams together. Never mentioned drugs. Other guess is that AP could't even get a scam off the ground before the operation prematurely folded. Because these guys were dealing drugs on the sneak, they don't have enough to roll what they have into a Rico hat can stand on its own without the risk of losing the case.

After the weak Ligambi case, where they had no crimes of violence and a CW who was a friggin direct link to Borgesi and Ligambi, the US Attorney has no stomach for dumping at least 2-3 years worth of trial work into a regional drug conspiracy with another loser CW on the fringe without tossing some murders in so the work is worth the effort. My thoughts are they wait and throw in some of the scraps from this case into whenever they have a enough to file RICO in Philly federal court. Might be one year or five years or never.
