Nothing about how Latin American Organized Crime has overtaken LCN in New York. Everyone already has admitted Latino OCG have control of the vast majority of the drug market in America but outside that they do not control much.bert wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 9:00 am Climent put this up on GBB site

I don't think anyone has claimed LCN is number one in drug traffickingbert wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 7:47 pmWhere the hell do you think the Latino drug dealers are, they are in New York.Rat wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 7:41 pmNothing about how Latin American Organized Crime has overtaken LCN in New York. Re: “The mafia is dead”
"The Five Families of La Cosa Nostra remain the most potent organized crime threat in New York and have diversified their operations, despite an apparent decline in their power and influence."
"Yet even as LCN’s influence shrinks in New York, authorities consulted by Jane’s agree that it is still the most successful model of organized crime in the city."
"Many organized crime groups - different in size, reach, ethnicity, and capabilities - are active in New York, but traditional Italian-American criminal families such as LCN enjoy a particular status built on reputation, contacts, violence, and territorial control. LCN families in New York are embedded in the economic fabric of the city, as both underworld actors and legal investors and power brokers, placing them at the top of threat assessments."

I will take the FBI and other American agencies word over Janes Report which is an interest site based out of England.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 11:54 am "The Five Families of La Cosa Nostra remain the most potent organized crime threat in New York and have diversified their operations, despite an apparent decline in their power and influence."

Re: “The mafia is dead”
I totally agree, bert. So I guess it's a good thing the report cited law enforcement as the source for its conclusions. And the report was written by an OC scholar, by the way.bert wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 8:03 pmI will take the FBI and other American agencies word over Janes Report which is an interest site based out of England.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 11:54 am "The Five Families of La Cosa Nostra remain the most potent organized crime threat in New York and have diversified their operations, despite an apparent decline in their power and influence."

But you talk as if you've found supporting evidence that the FBI and other law enforcement agencies support your claim that other groups have surpassed the LCN in New York. I'd love to see even one source or quote saying as much.

Re: “The mafia is dead”
What is that, at least the fifth time you've avoided the subject? Too busy posting links to irrelevant articles, I guess.
You ask bert a question or for evidence to support his claims and this is what you get...

Re: “The mafia is dead”

Burt claiming wiseguy is fanboy/doesn't listen to evidence when Wiseguy has a mountains of FBI quotes and articles, Burt claiming Wiseguy is wrong off of articles from 1988 that barely adress his claims
Re: “The mafia is dead”
I can picture bert in 9th grade science class. His teacher asks for a 3 page, typed report on cell division and he turns in a half page, written report on wombat mating habits.
All roads lead to New York.
Re: “The mafia is dead”
I said that if I gave a ton of links you would say they were meaningless, and as I predicted you have. You either want em to waste time looking for more and putting them up so you can repeat the process . You're a dork with nothing else to do.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 9:54 amWhat is that, at least the fifth time you've avoided the subject? Too busy posting links to irrelevant articles, I guess.

Re: “The mafia is dead”
Still waiting for you to post one single solitary link that actually has to do with what we're talking about. You keep posting stuff that's beside the point and then act like you've proven your case. Several posters have told you this. But you're just off in your own little world.
I realize you're a lost cause at this point. In the future, just don't talk out of your ass, bert. Then there will be no problem.

Re: “The mafia is dead”
Especially the link about a drugs & card game bust from a small Chinese gang that operated in a predominantly Chinese area in Brooklyn. What especially proved Wiseguy wrong was the fact that these Chinese criminals were selling, of all things, drugs! The mafia is certainly doomed now. And don’t get me started on their poker game that they operated out of ONE apartment. How can the Mafia compete with such criminal prowess???bert wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 6:39 pmYou can't admit I nailed you with all that info.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 2:38 pmStill waiting for you to post one single solitary link that actually has to do with what we're talking about.
