His dad passed. And he was close to Di Gregorio and Magaddino and a Genna.

Maxie's Bonanno Profiles

These are great, I just wanted to condense some of the threads. I collapsed them into "parent" threads by family.

I found an FBI report that lists Sereno Tartamella as a capo, circa 1969.

I just read it. Between us I don’t believe Tartamella was really ever a Capo as they listed. But because he was rubbing elbows with bosses, they figured he was and listed him as such. He was a courier, a messengero if u way. Nothing more or less in my opinion..... but who really knows you know

Any good resources on Tartamella you can post? Either way you're right, capo or no he was still meeting with bosses so it would be interesting to read about him.

Serreno Tartamella was a caporegime but demoted sometime in the 1970s.
There you have it, never printed before.

Good reading, Maxie. Honestly I like just reading the run downs of the families and members, and their histories, without going through entire books. For some reason I just never get tired of reading the abbreviated histories, the names and the facts, and connecting the dots. The further you get into details the more you get into irrelevant people, author opinions and of course wiseguy contributors tooting their own horns and exaggerating.
Glick told author Nicholas Pileggi that he expected to meet a banker-type individual, but instead, he found Alvin Baron to be a gruff, tough-talking cigar-chomping Teamster who greeted him with, “What the fuck do you want?”

Agreed Grouchy, biographical thumbnail sketches are short, sweet and to the point. Typically loaded with the pertinent info to give the reader a good “image” if you will, of who the subject is, without a lot of fluff.
