I think what a lot of people don't realize is that legal gambling serves a much different type of clientele than who a bookie serves. With the bookie there is no paying upfront, no paying taxes on your winnings, no waiting in bullshit lines, being able to bet college football & basketball, like you said. Guys who bet big money are not waiting in traffic driving to AC to wait an hour in line or putting their money in some dopey online account. Those apps and casinos are for casual gamblers.NJShore4Life wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 8:32 amYes but you have to deposit money first and have to be in New Jersey. You cross the bridge into the City (NYC) or Philly and you can’t bet anymore. LCN connected books are still far superior because you can bet from anywhere internationally, you bet on credit, they have lines for college sporting events in Jersey, and it’s all 100% Cash.Philly d wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 8:04 amCan't you just bet through the App?NJShore4Life wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 7:52 am Legal Sportsbooking isn’t hurting them as much as people think. The mob linked gambling crews offer credit and everything is in cash so you can hide your degenerate gambling ways with the wife/gf. To me, it’s annoying to have to download another app on my phone and then deposit thousands of dollars into it. Also miserable to front the cash and wait in line in person down in AC, at the Meadowlands, and at Monmouth Park.
Some college kid forking over $50 (and pay a 25% to the gov't if he wins) to bet Monday Night Football...he'll use one of the gamblings apps. The degenerate betting NHL parlays without a dime to his name...you know where he's going.
