Anyone read the book by Dragna's great grandson? Los Angeles Sugar Ring?
Glick told author Nicholas Pileggi that he expected to meet a banker-type individual, but instead, he found Alvin Baron to be a gruff, tough-talking cigar-chomping Teamster who greeted him with, “What the fuck do you want?”

Family ties. Plus, LA is a cesspool
I would VASTLY prefer living in Cleveland to any big city in California. VASTLY.
I don't know about that. I have always heard that San Diego is great. Always here bad things about Cleveland. Been to San Francisco and Oakland. Too dam cold for July. SF nice place to visit, but wouldn't want to live there. Oakland was to much like Cleveland. Was in Cleveland once, kind of reminded me of Detroit, was there once. They were a step above Hoboken NJ.

Good points, but the cost of living there is insane and the people in Cleveland are much more pleasant to be around.

Personally, I can't stand to be around people who get offended by everything, but that's just me.
My problem is I hate everybody.

I went to the Eastside suburbs of Cleveland. Very pretty and reasonably priced. I lived in LA for 3.5 years. Odd place to say the least.

I can see your point. If people are generally jagbags there than I wouldn't want to be around them. I was kind of joking about Cleveland and Detroit and Hoboken too, since it's been years ago that I was there. I remember traveling threw Hoboken in the 70s. Alot of burned out buildings Newark was bad too.

I lived in L.A for 4 years while in my 20's. San Diego was pretty but its 80% minority in SD County. L.A. is a great place to visit but a cesspool otherwise. I know Cleveland well, it has changed over the last 20 years for the better. Great cost of living and you don't need to speak Spanish

Hoboken is all yuppies and completely gentrified, costs almost the same to live in Hoboken now as it does to live in parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Hoboken is really high end and expensive now! I lived in Hoboken from 2007-2010.

Lives in Hoboken from 98-02. Place is way different than when I lived there twenty years ago (and even then it was pretty much fully gentrified).

LA, Oakland, Portland and San Francisco should be removed from the face of the globe, as a starter. The latter city was heavily Italian, by the way, but that was before people openly shit on the sidewalk as part of hobo chic. I'd love to shoot them in the act.

Let's settle this.

Cleveland rocks!

San Diego? Can't beat the fish tacos.

Hoboken is where legends are born.

And LA, well, is the home to the stars.

Now, anyone read that book by Dragna's great grandson?

I wanted to fucking murder every Portlander I've ever met after interacting with them for about 90 seconds.

It's a fantastic city if you know what you're doing. Also like you mentioned you don't have to pay two grand a month for a shitty studio.

Ever been to Lakewood, near east suburb? It's basically the good aspects of Cleveland without the bad. Great town. Same nasty winters though.

Wealthy areas. Halle Berry was born and raised in Shaker Heights. Many of the mobsters lived in Orange around the Pepper Pike area.
