More recently. Frank Langano hit in Jersey. No one ever arrested for it. Was it the Gatto crew? Luchese Crew taking care of their own rat? Or was it the dirty cop who was hit buddy? No arrests.
Larry Ricci found in trunk of car behind huckfinn diner in Union. No one arrested. They tried to convict Mikey Cigars on circumstantial evident but the charges didn't stick because they had no real evidence. No arrest unsolved.
Basically if you pull off a hit in the day and age and 10yrs later no arrests..you doing pretty good in the mob. lol

I always thought the Rocco Maniscalco hit was as clean as it can get in modern times for Philly.

Worst was Costello. Point blank range and Chin just grazed his skull. Why didn’t he empty his gun on him?
The guy who was shot, ran around the block and came up behind the shooter probably accidentally.
This sounds like something out of a Buster Keaton film

Here's two more:

Vincent James Squillante, Gambino soldier disappeared in 1960

Joseph "Joey Surprise" Feola, Gambino soldier disappeared in 1962

These two guys literally disappeared off the face of the earth ala Jimmy Hoffa.

I don't know if they qualify for a good or bad hit but in my opinion the best hit is the one that never has to happen.

That hit wasn’t rly talked about too much. Did the feds ever name any suspects?

Gambino soldier Andrew Alberti's murder is widely believed to have been made to look like a suicide and a successful one at that, no one charged. He was set to testify that day in a Lombardozzi gem swindling case, as well as being present and knowledgable of the Anastasia murder. Found on his porch with a shotgun blast to his head

I think he killed himself, his wife was right inside the house when he did it.
He was going to be called with others to testify, he may have felt he was going to jail, and if he was close to Anastasia knew he was in danger.

Here is an article on his death,

His wife was quoted in the papers saying that Borgesi was leaning on him from prison and that a drug crew also owed him money that didn’t want to pay up. He was walking around South Philly in a bulletproof vest in the weeks leading up to being hit. The Cops / Feds have zero to go on with this one.

Worst - Anthony Nicodemo and Gino Dipietro. Broad daylight, public place...caught shortly after the hit with the gun in his own car. Terrible in every way possible.

Best Hoffa for the same reason as you stated.

worst John Veasey they shoot this guy in the fucking head and he takes there guns and walks out the door and testifys agaisnt them all. The hitters would fuck up A wet dream

Philly has fucked up so many hits lol. Skinny Joey totally unloading on Nicky Jr at Dante and Luigi’s and him surviving, the Veasey shot to the head, and Bent Finger Lou paying a wired up informant to kill Marty then changing his mind to just assault him. You can’t make this shit up

Joey's planning was pretty good for a brazen Philly style hit...Halloween, mask on running up on him and unloading..His execution was piss poor...how he didnt get him point blank with a machine pistol is piss poor
