Re: Crea Sr
What about this makes him stupid? That he is a ruthless guy? News flash...all mobsters are, you have to be. He is obviously smart in business and especially construction.

Have you been following the core principles of the mob?

Re: Crea Sr
Crea was a shrewd guy in his "prime". He made a lot of money and managed to stay out of trouble for a relatively long amount of time during a period when law enforcement's №1 priority was organized crime. It's quite impressive when you consider how closely involved he was with running the family. At the same time he is not that different from your average mobster. He was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder in the mid 80's so his greed and tendency for violence predates his high standing in the mob.

You have to go by mob standards in general. In the mob, he was a pretty smart guy. People saying he is dumb for involving his son and conspiring to murder people over disrespect must have lost some things in translation? idk loleboli wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 4:25 pmCrea was a shrewd guy in his "prime". From what I've found he tried to murder some guys involved with the Yonkers Waterfront development. He gained control of some properties from a guy named Melvin Weintraub, but some of his partners resisted. At a later date that guilty verdict was overturned. Louis Gigante wrote a letter of leniency on Crea's behalf. Crea Sr. was made under Corallo, so most likely he was a soldier under Luongo at the time.

with how plugged in he was to various legit industries along with the community in general, making his son was stupid. look how well it turned out for him now. its not like there werent any options available to him. but then again who knows if his kid tried and just didnt have it in him, and was born a natural? im saying from the outside looking in given the circumstances we know on the surface, the kid had other options availableFughedaboutit wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 4:27 pmeboli wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 4:25 pmCrea was a shrewd guy in his "prime". also him leaning on Datello for the Sean Richard money was dumb. it drove Datello right into the snares of another rat. its not like it was life or death without the money. but i dont know the situation. if richard borrowed money and left than yeah, ok, maybe. but if richard was in a venture that was supposed to bring in money and turned rat before, now datello is essentially on the hook for the rest of his life? dumb
