That was the mainstream opinion at the time. After Massino flipped many people thought they lcn is one big bust away from being reduced to street gangs.

And here we are 20 years later.. the mafia in New York is far from dead. Hundreds of made guys and thousands of associates. And its been there for over a 100 years, allt things considered its pretty impressive. You got banks and enterprises that have lasted less time.
