You need a certain amount of posts, not sure how many should ask a mod.StandUpGuy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 7:18 amIf I dont have authorization to read that part of the board..![]()

Anyone know why the bonannos broke into the lucchese club?
Wise men listen and laugh, while fools talk.
Re: Crea Sr
I think a lot of this is due to phonies from RD, like Pic or FrankC and some other dopes, who built up guys like Crea or Nick Corozzo. Bullshit like "Crea has an army of kids in Yonkers" or how Corozzo "wouldn't let guys put sambuca in their coffee". Newer members ate that shit up and then those goofs would continue to regurgitate it for years so these fraudulent claims by bozos like FrankC and Pic still have a half life on the board. That's why people here were beside themselves when it came out that Amuso was still boss, they had decided in their minds that Crea was superior to Amuso, so how could it be that Crea was not boss? There are other examples of this shit.

Re: Crea Sr
exactly. always perceived Crea to be a gentleman, especially compared to the "brooklyn faction" that previously, allegedly, tried to have him killed. even on the boards over the years, although we don't know a whole lot about Crea, it was said he was a gentleman and a quiet, fair type of guy who was just into making money. In D'Arco's book he's briefly mentioned when he met with Al to talk about possibly cutting Amuso and Casso out of the picture - kinda perceived to be the same way. A serious guy, but not a nut job. and I don't think he is a nut job - look at some of the situations from this document like Datello owing money, if that were Casso he'd have the guy clipped immediately.
But I was a little surprised he was heavily leaning on one of his top captains, surprised he threw his kid into the lion's den . Just kinda made me realize to never forget that these guys are all the same to some degree.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but with Crea's name being synonymous with big time legit business and him being an established and very wealthy guy - to see him being so greedy as a boss was a little surprising
Re: Crea Sr
Yep. The narrative was always that he'll be a great boss because he's smart and rich, he will let the guys under him breathe then we find out this. It shows you that you should take what anyone says on these forums with a grain of salt even if they often have good info and they aren't setting out to deceive you because they obviously can't know the full picture. A lot of people on the forums have taken it for fact and it's informed a lot of discussions here because they believe they have inside knowledge. Not calling anyone out i've done it myself, just saying we should be more skeptical/cautious.newera_212 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 10:38 amBut I was a little surprised he was heavily leaning on one of his top captains, surprised he threw his kid into the lion's den . Re: Crea Sr
When comparing two things it doesn't mean you're saying they're identical. Anyway, the reason i mentioned those two (other than them being in the same family) was because Crea was being hyped as some new generation boss who was going to be completely different and would usher in a golden age, it was closer to more of the same than it was that.
Re: Crea Sr
Golden age? Usher in hahaha
Re: Crea Sr
Pretty much was how some people were talking about him, can't tell you how many times i read how smart he was.
