The problem is these nut job types target famous people so they can become famous too. John Gotti was a celebrity. Frank Cali was not and the general public did not know who he was until he got clipped. The huge news coverage of the homicide surprised most of the people on this forum. It's safe to say the killer might not have anticipated the attention he's getting right now.

And he was of sound mind to come up with the plan to get Cali out of his house, there is more than meets the eye to this, I’m sure he wasn’t anticipating touching the licence plate when it fell on the floor hence no gloves, that was an oversight, he also made it difficult to be ID’d from CCTV which means this was pre planned and not just off the cuff

Disappointing end to a fascinating week.
The only ‘interesting’ point left is the timing of this kid’s shanking in prison.

This whole thing is fucked up. Why would Cali go out and shake the hand of a kid he didn't like and then hit his car? Seems like these two knew each other. This Comello went there to kill Cali based on what the cops put out there, so it wasn't some argument turned wrong thing like what was reported earlier. It'll be interesting to see if Comello was working with anyone or not.
