What if it was some drunk that plowed into his car and Cali went out there, confronted him, and the guy shot him? The amount of shots would not indicate as such but it's not completely out of the question.

NYPD say that Cali was having a conversation with the shooter. After about a minute the shooter pulled out a gun and shot him dead.

The way the guy in the press conference described it was like Cali was having a conversation with the individual like they knew each other. If it was just some random dude who smashed into his vehicle wouldn't they have described it more as a confrontation? And a random guy carrying a 9mm in that neighbourhood?

It's strange that a guy that knew him would set him up by hitting his vehicle, though. Have they actually specified whether or not the truck hit his car before or after the shooting? "Before" is the impression I've gotten so far.

Also, it seems strange that someone who intended on killing him would hold a conversation with him before deciding to kill him. That wouldn't seem as strange in a club or some other private facility but right out in the open, in front of his house no less? Seems like professional hitters would done it a little more quickly.

It's very confusing. The guy in the press conference said a theory is that the shooter in the pick up truck hit Cali's vehicle to lure him out. Other news articles reported that Cali had a phone call or a text before he went out of the house.

Cali comes out of his house after the truck reverses into his SUV, they have a conversation,bafter a minute the guy starts shouting, 12 shots fired and 6 hit the mark, he wasn’t run over, all captured on CCTV.

I hope he was wearing a disguise otherwise this will get wrapped up pretty quickly
