Consiglieri
Joe Biondo was a Mangano consiglieri. Сould he remain in that position, before Carlo Gambino became a consiglieri in 1957. Find, that Scasise was a consiglieri before his murder https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... 5&tab=page
Anastasia's admin is really confusing. I've read here about Nino Conte also having a role at some point. I've heard Scalise mentioned as underboss, acting underboss and consigliere, Gambino as underboss and consigliere...
'You don't go crucifying people outside a church; not on Good Friday.'
Yeah, I haven't seen his name much on these old charts. I've seen him labeled both as Gambino and Genovese. Mostly I go by the account he was identified as a Genovese representative at Apalachin. He was arrested alongside Catena and Genovese himself in Bufallino's car. Wasn't he under Boiardo early on?
By his WW2 Registration, he had moved to Palisades, NJ. He became a partner of Joseph Doto in a Car Conveyancing Company, and had interests in the Garment centre. Attended the 1957 Apalachin meeting, but soon retired and died in 1968.
Salvatore Chiri and Antonino Conte (father of Pasquale Conte) have both been identified as underbosses during the Anastasia reign. Scalise has also often been identified as the underboss at the time of his death.
Carlo Gambino has been said to be the consigliere at the time of Anastasia's death. Bill Bonanno also claimed Scalise had been a consigliere during the Anastasia reign. Biondo had apparently been demoted sometime earlier.
There was a long discussion on Chiri here a while back.
It's all pretty murky trying to figure out the timeline, specific positions, and other details.
