Re: https://mafiainaustralia.wordpress.com/
Okay so recent info would indicate that the Sydney Commisso actually come from Gioiose Ionica, NOT from Siderno. My source was very emphatically stating that. Whether he has his own agenda or not, I can’t say, but at this point I can confirm that Cosimo is brothers with Johnny Commisso, and that Co...

Re: Connection between George Adragna (Pittsburgh) and the Piazza family of Misilmeri/Marseille
Some additional information: - Thomas Borghese is also a cousin of Piazza. According to the the 2 FBN that followed them, Borghese was a honorary sheriff (lol) - Still according to the two FBN agents who followed Piazza & Vincileoni in New York, Piazza met with members of the Lo Cascio family (p...

Connection between George Adragna (Pittsburgh) and the Piazza family of Misilmeri/Marseille
I was doing some research for an upcoming article I'm working on, and I discovered a family connection between George Adragna and Pietro Piazza, a important individual involved in drug trafficking in Marseille. I'll keep Pietro Piazza's background brief, except that I suspect he's an important membe...

Re: https://mafiainaustralia.wordpress.com/
I was wondring the same as usually the Commissos from the Siderno Group are mostly active in the area of Perth. But there was a Giovanni "John" Commisso involved in Canberra back to the Operation Seville during the 1980s, so who knows. If my memory is correct he was a in-law of Mario Canni...

Re: Beliefs with no evidence
All good amigo
Regarding Profaci and the Greco/Galatolo war I think it's a bit different situation: Antonino Cottone was formerly a member of his Crime Family, it's probably why he put his nose into it

Re: Beliefs with no evidence
B, Pietro was the nephew of Nino & Giuseppe. But there was another Pietro who was indeed their brother, he died in 2007 in Staten Island.

Re: Beliefs with no evidence
I was about to write it, but Johnny was faster than me. Cabrini, perhaps you're confusing him with Pietro Inzerillo, was killed a year after Nino (January 1982), and unlike Nino he was a member of Cosa Nostra in Sicily and his murder was ordered from there. His cousin Tommaso is widely suspected of ...

It's definitely not like before, but definitely not on the decline like the US either (IMO)Shellackhead wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 11:09 am How powerful is the Sicilian Mafia in this day & age? Are they also on the decline like the American Mafia?

Re: Beliefs with no evidence
I actually have a good one. I think the real wealth in the Sicilian Mafia might be concentrated in a few powerful surnames. I don't think they HOLD a lot of ACTUAL liquidity. I think they control and or co-op businessmen who operate within territory they reside in. But I don't know if they possess ...

New article, dedicated to organized crime in the city of Grenoble. The article is mainly focused on the Corsican mob boss Mathieu Mattei, the Italo-Grenoblois gang and the establishment of Cosa Nostra in the French capital of the Alps https://unehistoiredecrimeorganise.blogspot.com/2022/12/crime-or...

Re: Maceo Brothers from Galveston, Texas
You are so clueless and absolute that you don't even grasp that the Camorra was not in Basilicata, and Torrio was from Basilicata. I don't want to argue more than what has been said, but actually the Camorra had in addition to Campania branches in Calabria (the current 'ndrangheta is in fact a cont...

Re: Articles dedicated to the French side of the Pizza Connection + Interview with Judge Giovanni Falcone (1988-1989)
I just discovered now that François Scapula died last summer. The Scapula affair was mysterious until the end. So much so that despite its importance in the history of organized crime (and crime in general) I discovered it completely by chance because basically no one talked about it... https://www....

Re: Info on the decina of Sommatino in Grenoble
Thought I'd add this here. Leonardo Messina also identified Sicilian decine in the following locations: - Mannheim, Germany. This decina belonged to the Palma di Montechiaro Family in Agrigento but there was also a stidda "decina" (?) in Germany with roots in Palma di Montechiaro. He spec...
