I love New Park! That plus Luigi’s on 5th and Joe’s on Carmine St are my top 3 Ny style slices

Another easy one

Pasquale’s Rigoletto on Arthur Ave - Patsy Parrello
What’s the name of the pizza place that John “Hollywood” Brescia owns? Am I mixing things up or is Brescia’s pizza spot in Little Italy/Mulberry?

Al D’Arco owned La Donna Rosa in Little Italy. I think Anthony Scotto from the Gambinos (he passed away earlier this year) had owned an upscale spot in Manhattan too. I think when the Campos crew got busted, they noted that Richie Martino was hiding some of his money through a few pizza spots, amongst many other businesses.

In my neck of the woods, you have Carmen “The Cheeseman” DiNunzio who owns a cheese shop in the North End of Boston too.
I thought Carmens cheese shop closed like 15 years ago? Is there another one? Apparently his cheese shop was one of the best in the city.

Also, just remembered this and not sure if this what you’re looking for, but didn’t Angelo Spata of the Columbos and son in law of Carmine Persico, used to own a hot dog stand? Not sure if it was a permanent thing or just during the Italian feasts.
The Spata family owns Lucy’s Sausage & Peppers. They have stands at every big NYC feast. If you’ve ever been to a feast here you’ve seen them. The Spata family also goes big on decorations at their home in Dyker Heights every year, they are part of that neighborhood tradition.

In the old days there was always a lot of gambling done during the feasts. Whoever controlled the feast would have a secret casino, card games and stuff like that. My uncle went to Our Lady Mount Carmel feast every year and would say ‘I came for the feast but I stayed for the craps game and that’s why I’m broke!’

how is she related to angelo spata from the Colombo crime family? is it his sister
I believe she is his mother

It's a good location to have a fast food biz like a pizza place because there's thousands of people in all of those coops who really have nowhere to go . The place probably does really really well and it doesn't look half bad either. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there though
didn't put two and two together

That's Alphonso's Pizzeria owned by Alphonse DiPilato
thx. Any good?
It actually doesn't look too bad. Looks like a slightly nicer and stepped up version of a typical NYC pizza place. Looks like they get good reviews and the stuff I've seen on IG looks really good. The prob is , it's kinda off the beaten path - the ass edge of the LES basically. If I lived in those big Co-Ops on Grand I'd probably eat there 3 days a week... but it doesn't look like somewhere I'd make a journey to from elsewhere in the city

He must do crazy good business because that area is just stacked with tons of high rises and not much for the people to go to or do unless they go further inland or up to the LES proper. It might be the only pizza option on that whole strip
Where is it? near the bridges? thx
It's on Grand on the south side of the street right where Columbia Street ends and Henry Street runs behind it. The streets almost form a little triangle and it's right there. It's directly across from the Hillman Houses and Co-Op Village. I think those buildings have privatized now and might not go by those names anymore but that's what I know them as. There's not a whole lot around. It's way east of Grand and Essex where there is a plaza and more stuff...if that helps

Actually it’s now Luna, which is fairly decent slice in that area. Wonder if he still has any interest in it or sold off.
