The article didn't say the Philadelphia LCN has black and Irish crews. It said it "occasionally works with African-American prison-connected gangs and several local black crews" and that Ligambi was seen meeting with a crew of Irish guys from Northeast Philly that had allied themselves with the LCN.
In other words, these are their own groups but they work with the LCN.
So they are crews , Lets not get into semantics
It's not semantics. It's an important distinction. It's not like these other groups are
part of the Philadelphia LCN, which is what joeycigars was saying. But simply other crews
working with the LCN. For example, Bulger's crew up in Boston worked with the New England LCN at times but wasn't a part of it.
