his son still around here. we had dinner and watched the derby in the same suite at Spotshaven. a gentleman. gave me three tips thruout the day and all lost.i didnt know who he was until the guy I was with told me.

Was doing some research and not sure if it has been mentioned before, but the entire Tropiano family first lived in Brooklyn, then moved to Connecticut while Ralph and George were still boys. Not sure the story of how one ended up a Brooklyn-based member while the other was a CT-based member, but they had longstanding ties to both places.

Consiglio's is good, in my opinion, but it was always known for veal and I don't think it's that special any more.

I hear you Cheech I used to love going to Tre Scalini ,doesn't have the same feel anymore haven't been there in few years ,last actual restaurant I went to over there was Consiglios pretty recently,from time to time I'll get a pie from Sallys or go to Libbys to grab a few things for my wife she likes it there. Never been to Polo but heard it was the spot back then I was only a teenager. Why did it close? Was with my uncle the other day and the guy we talked about that he's close with is opening a huge wholesale seafood business in Bridgeport with a partner thats a friend of theres I was inside the warehouse,going through it with them my uncles in charge of getting everything up to code to pass inspections. I'll tell ya these guys have legit businesses and make serious money cause at the end of the day they got a guy for everything, literally everything they will get the work done cheaper ,get supplies and the seafood cheaper than any regular joe so even though the business is legit they save money from every angle which means there also making it from every angle

tre scalini is stuffy now. joe is an old time bookie. heard his wife was a whore in new york back in the day. Polo Bar and Grille back in the late 90s on Elm and State St was the best.

As far as Waterbury, the bikers were always big there. I never heard anything about Pepe's though. I would be totally shocked. I went to Tre Scalini a couple of weeks ago. It's good but in my opinion, not as good as when it was rated best new restaurant. My favorite was always Delmonico's. I loved that place--won and lost by John Delmonaco in card games. His brother had that place right off 91 ten minutes up the line, but can't think of it right now. Milford had Chip's Auto Sales and Tri-Auto Sales (a huge wholesaler). Both were considered mobbed up by many. Chip Rubenstein went to jail for I think counterfeiting many years ago. The owner and head sales guy of Tri-Auto Sales went to jail for money laundering probably about 15 years ago. I bought a clocked car from them. LOL. I was told by a prominent attorney who went to school with the son of the owners of Sundae House that it was connected, but have no idea whether it's true.

Yea I've never heard any Santes Manor or made guy from Orange story but if you remember it or hear anything let me know i would be interested. Your right tho Cheech Cappizellos own Scruples and for all we know he has a piece of that too he does own almost all ,and yea Pleasants is a huge shithole he's not going in there and Ruby's is a big hells angels spot I think,years ago I had to do a little time and got to know a H.A. that ran that DMV scam in BPT getting all the licenses for illegals or someone that wanted a different identity and he always was saying they were in Ruby's all the time I've never been there though

Gus probably hasnt been in PM in over a decade if not more. Its a shirt hole. Keepers he got the office in the back. Youre right about that. I think the only one he doesnt own is Rubys II. The guys loaded.
