How often has that happened? As in someone testified on other families to "better there family " ?

I'm gonna assume that is not the same for when ppl r just tryna get outta trouble
The Santa born because the old ndrangheta rules forbiden to join the free mason so if you joint the santa (that was the lower rank of the big society) you can flip on the low society members, joint the freemasonry ecc
The ndrangheta had a high hierarchy and new ranks are continualy created (the last in 2010) so is difficult to understand the real ranks power.

From the second point: the ndrangheta is divided in 2 part: la Società Minore (Low Society) and la Società Maggiore (Big Society).
In the big society there the santista rank; who had this rank can collaborate even with cops if is better for the society (and for himself). More santisti are white collar criminals or high level drug traffickers.

Sam Carlisi was said to be Chicago Outfit treasurer by law enforcement after DiFronzo replaced him as boss in early 1990s. Was from a news article reporting of Carlisi's arrest.

I think Nicoletti was identified as the Treasurer, so yeah a financial advisor/accountant type of figure I guess.

Leadership positions

Following on from the thread about Albie Vena, it got me thinking about two things:

1) Which families have historically had other roles in the top spots other than Boss, Underboss, Street Boss, Consigliere, Messenger and Ruling Panel members (not including acting roles)?

2) Is there a potential leadership position within a family that no OC family has adopted, but would be beneficial?
