Both Silesi and Zappi were identified as captains already in the early 1960s. But Zappi was based in NY at the time, while Silesi was based in Florida. An informant based in Miami, Florida said in 1964 that Silesi was "over any member of the Gambino Family residing in the Miami area." Zappi took over Silesi´s crew sometime around 1980 when he retired.

Possible members of Silesi´s crew were the Amatos (Agostino, Frank and Vincent), Tommy Altamura, Joseph Bisogno (former Dellacroce crew member), John Ignizio, Joe "Scooch" Indelicato, Vincent Palmisano, and Anthony Plate, All these guys resided in the Miami area at one point in the 1960s.

Silesi´s old addres was 265 Lafayette Street in the Manhattan´s Little Italy district. I think he ran gambling joints there in the 1950s before moving his interests to Cuba.

Nice to see you overhere Scott!

Wasn't there a meeting in 1952 in the Keys that was under surveillance by the Feds that was attended by representatives of all five families where they discussed their ongoing operations in Florida?
