The most recent video concerned the Gametax bust, here is some stuff that was of interest to me
Paul Joseph Tocco:
Nove on his father being indicted for extortion:
He had been in Nove’s bugged car during a car ride during a collection, Tocco told him to sit in the driver’s seat and then leave immediately when he came back
• He would also take his father to meetings with Peter Vitale and Jimmy Quasarano because they often spoke a Sicilian dialect where Nove would miss details because English was his first language
• Paul Joseph Tocco and Tony Giacalone had been childhood friends and were from the same neighbourhood
• He also knew Billy Jack, the Bagnasco brothers and Anthony D’Anna
• When he was arrested in Florida, he put on an Italian accent and pretended to not be able to speak English, Anthony Zerilli had to translate for him in front of the judge during arraignment
• Zerilli was Paul’s best man at his wedding
Scott makes a lot of comments around Paul Tocco just being a neighbourhood guy, despite his appearance in Motor City Mafia as a member – need to get this clarified
Gametax Trial:
• Left for Arizona the day after the indictment
• Sold one of his homes to build up money for the legal costs and tried telling his associates to also prepare financially - Big Paulie Corrado listened to his advice
• Did not believe that the Tocco brothers knew the weight of the indictment, especially Anthony but thinks Jack W. eventually made arrangements
• The court and lawyer costs eventually began to add up and a lot of Gametax extortion victims also began cooperating
• Jack Tocco did not like that Anthony Giacalone hired Bruce Cutler and was upset about that as well as Giacalone getting new suits
• Nove Tocco was represented by Bill Bufalino Jr. because he owed him a lot in gambling debts
• Jack W. told Nove that he should not wear pinky rings in court
• After an argument with Jack and Tawn in the courtroom, Anthony Zerilli received a phone call about it and when pressed, Nove said he was done with the disrespect
