Mags gave that story of Aiuppa in the MCC having the entire cell block clear out when he used the toilet on one of the videos - not necessarily bc of his power either  Per Mags, he ate raw onions and raw garlic outside of prison - and was infamous for terrible breath and talking close, which Mags implied he enjoyed to fuck with people and it was a subtle (disgusting) power move.
This…is gross.

Fosco also talked about how he drank a shit ton of coffee. Let’s just pile that on top of the raw onion and garlic breath.

I have spoken to him a couple times many years ago. Antiliar also has. He's always been nice.

It was evident to me that he always felt like Difronzo should have protected him from the extortion attempts, and he felt so butt hurt by it, hence the crazy vendetta. It also emphasized just how wrong the media often has been on things. He also shed light on some of the older rackets that set families like Cerones, Messinos, Amabiles and Daddanos up for generational wealth. There is not another source out there who has shone light on the various car dealership rackets and behind the scenes businesses these guys were taking a piece of.
Wait, when was it determined that Mikey Mags wasn’t made?
I don't think anything has ever come out that he isn't. Maybe NB meant Talarico.
Are there any new rumblings about Magnafichi? I recall rumors a few years ago that he might be active with the crew again and back in good graces. Dude is plugged into that world and I imagine getting a book going wouldn't be that difficult. Maybe PatrickGold has seen him at Capri :)
Nope and I highly doubt he will go anywhere were Outfit guys may be hanging at. I could definitely see some of the guys starting stuff with him for what he did. Here is the last article I saw about him in which he supposedly found god.

What did he do? Was it just the Fosco stuff or is there more to the story?

I've heard he was a drunk and degenerate gambler. I guess something had to lead to him ending up on the Fosco podcast, if his resume (lol) said he left the Outfit in 2003.
Besides be a drunk and pill head, he got arrested for shop
Lifting and stuff like that. Big embarrassment. Plus he was being groomed to really go to the top and threw it all away. The Fosco stuff was kind of the nail in the coffin for him in regards to having anything to do with the Outfit.

I’m sure he has some FBI 302s to his name
He's a pretty interesting guy. No doubt he was being groomed for something big. His dad was an Elmwood Park capo and a powerhouse. He drove Cerone and tells stories about playing golf with Accardo, so he was no doubt around the heavyweights and I'm sure they had big plans for him.

He went to college for a minute, so he was no dummy either.
In a strange way he reminds me a little of Scars, strong pedigree and rubbing elbows with the big shots in his 20s.

Still very much a thing it seems, e.g. what Gigi was like when he was a kid.

One of the more interesting things on the Fosco threads was the backstory on the Luisi (Louis) family who were cops and Outfit members going back three generations. They came up because the grandson turned informant after having a fist fight with Mike Mags and was concerned for his safety.

I don't doubt his pedigree - he was in a trucking company with Tony 'Hatch' Chiaramonte as well as being in several gambling enterprises for Andriacchi and others. He used to say that Accardo would talk about Capone and Cerone would call 'Accardo' 'The Pappa' to other people. However, I think he played the part on Fosco and somewhat just started making shit up - like Chin Gigante and Tony Salerno flying to Chicago the day after the Castellano murder to meet with Accardo on how to handle Gotti.

As I recall he seemed spooked to talk about him along with a few others.
Yep. At one point, he was talking about Vena, and then the next week refused to. It really seemed as though somebody said something/threatened him.

Lol, holy shit! Maybe the only human ever to put that on a resume?

In all fairness, managing a multi million dollar book in that world would certainly gain you all kinds of inter-personal and management skills, it's just not something you would expect to find on a Linkedin page.
I like how if it wasn't obvious what the Chicago Outfit was, it links you to the Wikipedia page featuring a nice picture of Al Capone and the history of the Outfit.

HA!
Joe Fosco also gave him a recommendation on his page!
