In 1925 Michael Clemente, who was seventeen at the time, and a friend were charged with raping a mentally disabled girl in a car at Coney Island, and then turning her over to another friend who also had intercourse with her. Because of her disability they didn't think she would be a good witness and he was allowed to plead guilty to third degree assault. The record I have says that he only got a sixty-day sentence.
