Just from looking at the first few pages of the indictment this looks particularly badly executed by this Mamone and his kids. His name is All OVER the one company and the bank accounts, and in the applications you sign certifications that neither you or anybody connected to you has over 5 percent interest in the business. Why didn't he just shake these guys down if he was a made guy and instead go put his name all over a "marketing company", which you're also not allowed to do with Medicare business.
Also, only 3 defendants, father and 2 sons. Do they stay strong or does one break and testify against the other 2. I'm very interested to see.

For now, but healthcare fraud/white collar crimes like that don't give you too too much time.

DM LaVecchia on his social media and let him know. He always says "I'll look into it" whenever someone recommends a mobster to interview, but he never follows through. Maybe the breakup with Pennisi will motivate him.

How many soldiers and associates did the Trafficantes have by the early 2000s? I'm reading an article about Mamone's case from 2000, and it sounds like they were still functional at that time. Mamone was reporting to a captain and had quite a few associates under him. Did they still have a full administration at that point?

Link to the indictment. Looks like they stole ~$4mn.
Thanks. Beat me to the punch.
Have you ever reached out to him for a interview or book after he got out? I know he isn't doing anything now for some time, but wonder how approachable he was in the past?
Sorry, just saw this. No, I had not because he was initially in WITSEC after the Raffa and marijuana indictments.
Depending on how this shakes out, though, I might.

That would be a hell of a book. Good luck and I hope this works out!

More over, his attorney in his case in the 2000s said he “Mamone suffered extraordinary psychological damage," which I thought was funny. In order to reduce his sentence after being locked up for 12 yrs he implicated Paul “Doc” Gaccione in the Sangiulo murder that Prisco got in trouble for. Most importantly thought our man Scott Dietche was quoted in the article.
Thanks for posting! I didnt realize it was out.

Kudos to that reporter who caught that Mamone was indicted. No one else reported on that.

It was a Medicare fraud scheme in Palm Beach and Broward County that took place from 2019-2020.

I lost track of Mamone after he was released from prison, and assumed he up and left South Florida. I was tipped off to this by a reporter from the Palm Beach Post who called me last week about it. Mamone was released on bond. No mention in the court proceedings or indictment of his organized crime past.
He has been living out in the open in Delray Beach for sometime. He is divorced now and out and about Atlantic Ave quite a bit. I spend allot of time there and have family and friends in the area. His hangout is 4 blocks from Tom Farase's house. lol
His ex-wife had approached me a number of years ago about doing a book.
I bet she has some good stuff. She was with him thru all the NJ Genovese yrs under DiGilio

I wish someone like Patrick Bet-David or Tom LaVecchia could get an interview with this guy. It would be interesting to hear from a made member of the Trafficante family.
